Hello Experts,

I am pretty new to SAP Cloud Platform and looking to achieve below mentioned scenario based on my current understanding of the features and tools available with me. I am explaining the requirement in steps below.

Process Flow:

  1. I have a device capable of sending some parameters to IoT service in SAP. I am currently able to send and get these parameters in IoT service of my account.
  2. Once I receive the same in IoT in SCP, I wish to push this information to my on prem ECC server for further actions.
  3. I wish to achieve this via HCI(SAP Cloud Integration) and HANA Cloud Connector installed in my landscape.
  4. I also wish to push some information back from ECC to SAP Cloud Platform and show some alerts/warnings to users on their mobile devices via Fiori.

I have active developer account and tenant for IoT and HCI services. But I am stuck to figure out how to achieve this. I mean what should be my next step after I have the messages in IoT.

My IoT service version is the older one.

I have read multiple blogs available but still a bit confused and hence thought of reaching out to fellow SAPians who have already done these multiple times.

Thanks and Regards

hi amitabh,

there are different way to do it.
i also need a few more details in terms of dataflow / the need (or no need) to persist the data in the IoT service database and some other infos.
you may send me an email with your phone number and then we talk about it further (
after that i could then put another answer here into the Q&A section for all the other folks.

Hello Carsten,

Thanks a lot. I have sent a separate mail on the detailed requirement and issues. Please check and suggest.

Finally I could achieve this scenario. But I have a question here. How can we delete the unwanted entries from the IoT tables those created during test runs. Please note I am on Neon environment and using a productive account. Also instead of scheduling to fetch from IoT every minute may be how can we trigger the iFLow when a message arrives.
