Manual firming date

Hi Experts,

Is there any possibility of "Manual firming date" getting deleted automatically by MRP run or any other reason.

As per my understanding if manual firming date is been set in MD04, it will not get deleted unless it is deleted manually.

Please comment..

Thanks

Suresh

Ranga,

Thanks for reply.

One of my users is complaining that manual firming dates set by him are getting deleted automatically.

How can I keep track of it?

Thanks.

Hi Suresh,

Whenever anyone enters a Manual firming date then the system will give u Manual firming date row instead of Planning time fence row.

And the planned orders coming within the Manual Firming date will b firmed and will b represented by a star(*) sign.

So if u want to track u can look out for the manual firming date row.

Manual firming date was set by the user say 1st sept07. All MRP elements, Pln.Ord. Schd lines, were firmed within this date.

Is is possible that without manual changes this firming date would disappear due to MRP run or any other reason.

If and how planning time fence is taken into account depends on the firming type viz maintained in MRP Type.

Check the settings made for that particular MRP Type in customizing based on which system checks whether planning results are to be firmed or not.
