Web Dynpro server name

Hi,

I am new to SAP Web dynpro.

When I execute any of the web dynpro application it opens up with an different server path than that is actually been defined for the webdynpro.

Can you please let me know where is the server path defined for the web dynpro application?

Hi Rupesh,

for any SAP server there are n numbers of web application servers whcih are been deployed and there is one message server whcih decides the load

so when you create your webdynpro application it creates a URL with this web serrver name

Also when u log on to SAP system u are logging in into one web application server u can see this in saplogon properties for server... so if you logon with different web server than it executes application with this new web AS name..

Thanks fo the inputs.

The situation is - Its picking up the Web server which is not there at present in our system.There is another we server which it needs to access.

So can you please let me know where this setting is mentioned regarding the web server?

Can you check SICF transaction

hierarchy type :- SERVICE

virtual host :- DEFAULT_HOST

service path :- /sap/bc/webdynpro

i can guess that DEFAULT_HOST is not maintained properly then

Hi,

have you checked your <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/43/e86de5008b4d9ae10000000a155369/frameset.htm">configuration settings</a>, especially the fully qualified domain name?
