thumbnails

hi all ,

if i use tcode cv04n and enter the document type, after executing i get thumbnails, if i click on it, iam unable to view the pictures along with the details.

Dear Kshitij,

The reason could be that the thumbnail functionality exists only for BMP, JPG and GIF file format. As you have not attached any of these original file types to your documents, no thumbnail is displayed. To show this effect, checked in a JPG sample file to document

Now in transaction CV04N there should be the correct thumbnail displayed for

this original. For not supported file formats a possible workaround would be a conversion by the IGS converter (2D pixel format conversion, provided with SAP NetWeaver). This could be achieved by using the BADIs which are available as of ERP2005. For further information on this please see the Online help for the

Business Add-Ins (BADIs) in the Conversion customizing area.

Please note that in customizing, the system will first check the sequence. For example if sequence is PDF(1), THU(2), GIF(3). Than first it will show you PDF which is not supported, because its sequence is 1. Thumbnails will show you only first sequence file.

did you try to double-click on the search result to open the document info record?

Do you have a viewer installed and set-up?

Thanks for replying. Actually it is displaying some of the pictures but if i upload my own picture i am unable to view that,.
