Lumira 2.0 Apps Export to Local machine

Hi all,

In Design studio we have an option to export/import apps between server and local machine and now we are on Lumira 2.0 Sp02 with two folders (Server and local documents folder).

Query 1: When we create Lumira app on Local documents folder we are able to upload to server, adjusting server app changes are not reflecting to local document folder app even with sync option- may I know how this is supposed to work.

Query 2: Developed an Lumira app on server folder directly - here I am not able find an option to export server app to local machine, drag n drop or copy/paste from server folder to local documents folder is not working.

Can you please suggest how to export the app from server (Lumx file) to local machine.

Hi Sai,

In answer to your questions:

1) The "BI Platform Documents Folder" is in fact already a local copy of the Lumira documents you have downloaded from the platform. The Synchronize with BI Platform option simply synchronizes any changes you have made back up to the BI Platform. It will not synchronize to the "Local Documents" folder because this folder is independent of the documents on the BI Platform. You should only create applications in the Local Documents folder for prototyping and test purposes. For actual development work it is recommended that you create the Lumira document on the BI Platform from the beginning;

2) Download a Lumira document locally to your PC simply select "Download" from the context menu of the Lumira document on the BI Launchpad.
