    hai

personnel areas are general geographic locations

like u may have branches thriugh out india say Andhra , tamil nadu, west bengal

then u can keep them as PA and personnel subareas as under andhra HYderabad , vijayawada etc

sometimes these are also decided on the basis of taxes.

pay roll area is decided on the basis of date of payment date and period of pay like

    weekly monthly etc

pay roll area is for the sole purpose of processing a batch of records ata single time.

    regards

    nalla

    Hi Krishna,

    Personal Area:

i)Personnel subarea is an organizational unit that represents a specific area of the

company organized according to certain aspects of personnel, time management and

    Hi,

In order to know on what basis we create them just know what are these.

Personnel Area: It is a specific unit for personnel administration, and constitutes a subunit of the company code. The individual personnel areas of a company code are identified by a four-character alphanumeric code.

The personnel area has the following functions:

Allows you to generate default values for data entry, for example for the payroll area

Serves as a selection criterion for reporting

Forms a unit for authorization checks

Personnel Subarea : It represents a subunit of the personnel area. It is at this level that the organizational control of pay scale structures, wage type structures, and work schedules occurs. A personnel subarea is identified by a four-character alphanumeric code.

The personnel subarea has the following functions:

Determines the country grouping; relevant for master data entry, and setting up and processing wage types and pay scale groups in payroll

Determines groupings for Time Management; work schedules etc. can be set up according to the personnel subarea

Generates default values for the pay scale type and area in an employee's basic pay

    Determines the holiday calendar

Payroll area : It represents an organizational unit for performing a payroll run. Based on organizational assignment, payroll areas group payroll data for employees according to when their payroll should be run. The payroll area provides two pieces of information, namely which set of employees need to be considered for the payroll run and the exact dates of their accounting period. The dates of the accounting period are determined as follows:

The payroll period is stored as a period modifier per payroll area. Payroll can be run, for example, on a monthly, weekly, or bi-weekly basis.

The exact dates are stored for each valid accounting period.

The exact dates of the current accounting period are determined by using a payroll control record. The payroll control record keeps track of which period needs to be processed. Each payroll area has its own control record.

    Reward if helpful

    Regards

    Asha
