Release strategy not getting trigered

Hi all,

I have maintained release strategy for PO with category,class,release code...based on <b>document type,plant and purchasing group</b>

But some how Release strategy is not getting trigered when i creat Po with <b>document type,plant and purchasing group</b> combination

Any soln. for this prob.

I hope my question is clear

Hi Vishal..

As u have already configured the release strategy,

Plz chk the following thing once again.

1. Create Characteristics & link to comm. structre (CEKKO)

Plz maintain the follwoing fields in the additional tab of charecteistic creation for the charecteristics used

document type CEKKO - BSART

plant CEKKO - WERKS

purchasing group CEKKO - EKGRP

Create Class & link to characteristics defined above.

Create Release Groups & link to class

Create Release Codes

Release Indicator

Set up strategies

- Strategies & Codes

- Prerequeirements

- Status

- Assign values for strategies

Plz chk the above things once again, if still u could not get the release strategy triggered kindly chk if any user exits are used for the release strategy.

thanks for ur feed backs

Now my problem is solved

Everything was done as per standard setting but net value charactaristic was maintained two times in class.so it was not picking release strategy

Hi Vishal,

After doing all setings u check the clss in release group because the class what u r creating in CL02 and what u r entering in release group both should be same. Also chek whether you are recieving relese code at the time of relese simulation.If the release code is not coming then u have to check the characteristics,class and everything.

Dear Vishal,

Check whether you have given values correctly in by pressing "classification" button of the Release strategy. Do not leave any charectorstic as blank i.e. without any value. ( aslo check in CO20N for your class and RS)

In your mail you wrote "Category", what do you mean by that?
