Customer Down payment process

Gurus,

I would appreciate your help on the following problem.POINTS AVAILABLE.

My client has a business process where customers can make a down payment when they buy a product from a Reseller. The process is show below. The numbers in parenthesis have explainations at the bottom.

Customer XYZ

(1) DR 364

........(2) CR $84

GL 115400 (Recon)

(1) DR $364

GL 400000 (Revenue)

(1) CR $364

GL 102000 (Cash Acct)

(2) DR $84

(1) When customer purchased product from Reseller, Customer XYZ is debited $364. At the same time, the recon acct 115400 is also debited and the Sales Revenue Acct 400000 is credited.

(2) When Customer XYZ purchases the product, he is allowed to split the $364 into 5 pmts ($84). So when he purchases the prdt, the first Pmt of $84 is paid. As you can see in Customer XYZ's acct, he is credited $84 and at the same time, the Cash Acct is debited for $84 because we received the first down payment.

In OBXR, I have setup my Recon Acct as 115400 and my Special G/L as 115401. When I went to F-29 and tried to test a down pmt, I got the following error:

Account 115401 in company code ZAI1 is not a reconciliation account

Am I missing some config? Does the Special G/L acct have to be setup as a Recon acct too?

Hope my question makes sense. Thanks in advance!
