BOM with ECR

Hi friends,

We are trying to replace a bom component with a new from a future date using ECR. we changed the material master MRP2 view with indicator and future component and effective date. How to change the bom with ECR. do we need to delete the existing component. we are trying to use t code CC01. but not clear. can anybody answers, how exactly we have to proceed.
