Selecting Key Figures in any format before executing a query result

Has anyone seen a solution whereby a user can CHOOSE the Key Figures they want to be displayed in a query result at run-time before the query is executed?

I know it is possible to filter on a set of Key Figures in BEx but I'm looking for the small possibility that someone has found a way to do this before the query is executed and not after...

(I'm guessing it's not possible from my experience but you never know!)

thanks in advance,

Peter

Hi Peter,

This is just an idea: Each of your KFs is a formula multiplied by a formula variable (user entry, default value is 0). You need formula variables for each KF and name them the same as the KF. Then during runtime, these will appear in the variable screen and users put in 1 for the value against those (key figures) that they want to see. Rest remain 0, so during execution, these will make the KF column turn into 0. Make sure you have 0 suppression in your query properties so that these key figures are removed from the output.

Hope this helps...
