Clarification regarding RFC destination

Thanks for your information, can you please tell me do we need to create port and logical system name for creating RFC destination.

Siva,

You do not need to create port / logical system while creating RFC destination.

Port and Logical system comes into picture while setting up Partner profile for idoc communication.

Hi,

if the RFC communicatoin is syncronouse mode, do we need to create one RFC destinations in R3 , one is in XI aswell?

Hi Siva,

To create RFC destination , you just need to GO to SM59 and select required type of connection and fill the values which are apropriate, thats it.

As above Nilesh told port and Logical systems will be used in IDOCs configuration.
