Lost Connection between XI and R3

Hi all,

I have lost connection betwee XI server and R3 system. (Error : Host name DEV unknown, WSANO_DATA : valid name, no data record of requested type, Please check your application server name)

system call : gethostbyname_r

Method : NipGetHostByName2: host DEV not found

how to establish the connection between R3 system and XI server!

Problem Details when i am trying open an RFC Connection is as below

Logon: Connection Error

Error Number : 10035

DETAIL : Nip Connect2

CALL : Connect

Component : NI ( Network Interface )

Return Code : -10

Module : nixxi.cpp

Release : 700

plase solve my problme

hi,

for XI to R3 we are using SPROXY.it needs some configuration.create two RFC's

LCRSAPRFC and SAPSLDAPI.give the destnation in XI system J2EE visual admin JCORFCProvider.

transaction SXMB_ADM.

Integration engine configuration.

change global configuration Data

Role of Business Systemis Application server.

Corresponding Integ. Server give the address of XI system

then u check the SPROXY

Hi,

In your RFC, have you made entry by IP Address or by hostname.

Check your hosts file and if necessary make entry in it.
