Text DataSource for an InfoObject

Hi Experts,

I have a transaction DataSource by which I get the SAP UserID in my report,But for the InfoObject say User I want the to load a Text Table having Complete Name of the user rather than just 6 or 7 Digits(sap login) of the User,I want to create a TEXT Datasource and load it to that InfoObject but as the Original Datasource is from a view I am not getting the right tables to match and create a view so that I can load the Complete Text of the user into the InfoObject.

How to populate the Data to a Text Datasource,

I refered to the tables starting with Usr* but did'nt find any help

Any other way in solving the issue.

Hi Raga Sudha,

Use the DS "0CSM_USER_TEXT" to load the user name into 0USERNAME (or any other info object yuo are using). Hope this helps.

Thanks a lot for the answer,but I am using SAP ISU,its a Finance related i.e regarding dunnning Locks.Please let me know if I can use any other text file to load to my info object related to ISU.

Hi RS,

The data is available in 2 tables namely USR21 and ADRP. You can create a view on these 2 tables joining on "Person number" field and get the name in the form of text. You can then either create a DS or download the data into a spreadsheet and load it as a flat file DS. Hope this helps.

Thanks a Lot for the answer,I was looking at the ADRP Table but not for the USR21,would do the same as mentioned by you,hope it would solve my issue.

For transaction date from ISU I am using a view aswell and getting user ID to userid infoobject,does it have any problem if I do view for the text of the same infoobject with different table view from ISU.The table view for transaction data which I am using is DFKKLocks.

Please help me in this issue.

Hi RS,

I don't think there will be any issue if you create the text DS on another view.You can create another view and create the text DS on this view.
