Gross Requirement Planning

Hi Friends,

Scenario: I have 4 level BOM. The MRP Type for all finished & semifinished is PD. The planning strategy for FERT has been set as 11(with Mixed MRP indicator as 2) and for the semi finished as 10.

I have entered an Independent Requirement for FERT.

When I run MD02 for FERT then the BOM is not getting exploded and not even giving planned order for FERT

But if I use Planning strategy for FERT as 10 then BOM is getting exploded and planned orders are getting generated

I am not able to get why SAP is behaving like this.
