Iseries Upgrade error in Prepare phase upgrading from 46C(ASCII) to ECC 6.0

Hi,

Please can you help with the problem that we are facing while upgrading from 4.6C to ECC 6.0 on Iseries (This is on 64 bit iSeries on V5R3M0 OS/400 , DB2/ 400).

The error is in the 'UPGRADEPHASE INITPUT_PRE' ,

Error is "SEVERE ERROR: problems with SERVER mode - abort".

There was a problem while applying the SAPup patch because of 'problems with 'SAPCAR' applying the patch.

Infact, We cannot unpack anything, it seems to be a problem with the SAPCAR

file. We are using SAPCAR 700 version compiled on Apr 2 2007,

16:03:23, 64bit.

We have looked at the OSS notes 161699, 863821 and 826092 etc.. but had no luck.

Please help.
