S4 HANA Side car - BSID Table replication

Hi

We are using Side car HANA and have been replicating BSID table from ECC to sidecar using the SLT trigger.

When a record gets updated / created in BSID it flows realtime to side car BSID view.

Now with S4, the BSID "TABLE" in ECC has been transformed into a CDS view "BSID" with BSID_DDL as the underlying DB object. This being a dynamic view on BKPF and BSEG how will SLT work going forward without trigger

Hi Prabhaharan,

Did you get the answer/workaround for your query?

We have same setup and for now we have created calculation views in our side car based on CDS view logic for eliminated tables like BSID, BSAD, COSP etc and its working well. However I am interested if there is any other way to get data in side car for such tables.

Regards

Jitendra

Hi

we are ok with BSID - ACDOCA in SAP. The issue is with sidecar HANA.

With our ECC, when BSID table is updated with a new record then SLT triggers to get the data to side car.

With S4, BSID is a view and no DB update will happen on it - how do we handle the SLT trigger?

Hi

My first question to you: Will your side car be only on HANA database or is it a S/4HANA System, since I have not seen any one using S/4HANA system as a sidecar. You might want to use Central Finance Functionality on S/4HANA system. A sidecar will be on HANA Database, which is completely different from S/4HANA. You might want to check clarity on what will be your sidecar

Hi

You mean your sidecar is now S/4HANA already or are you planning to convert your ECC system into S/4HANA. If your ECC is being converted to S/4HANA, the data for open items from BSID will have to replicated into ACDOCA (Universal Journal) following the migration steps. After the conversion is completed, BSID will be a view which will call up the data from ACDOCA.
