BRARCHIVE Error

Hi

I am getting the following errors in my BRarchive log file, could any one throw some light on the possible solution?

BR002I BRARCHIVE 6.20 (135)

BR006I Start of offline redo log processing: adwctqtc.svd 2007-09-10 13.00.08

BR020E BRARCHIVE already running or was killed

BR021I Please delete file /oracle/MR2/saparch/.lock.bra if BRARCHIVE was killed

BR022E Setting BRARCHIVE lock failed

BR007I End of offline redo log processing: adwctqtc.svd 2007-09-10 13.00.09

BR280I Time stamp 2007-09-10 13.00.11

BR005I BRARCHIVE terminated with errors

The lock file exists and it seems to be a old lock...I am not sure why it is appearing now!

The problem happened when our saparch directory got filled 100% and we deleted the archive log files from saparch directory.

Also, my BRBackup fails with following errors,

Cannot create backup set "OB2: Internal error"

BR233E Backup utility has reported an error while saving file /oracle/MR2/sapdata7/btabd_2/btabd.data2

/oracle/MR2/sapdata7/btabd_2/btabd.data2

BR233E Backup utility has reported an error while saving file /oracle/MR2/sapdata4/el46ci_1/el46ci.data1

Hi Guys

Thank you for your information.

This issue was fixed.

This cause was tape device.

We can get redo log file after change tape device.

Hello Miyata ,

As per log :

to overcome the issue :

Please take a backup of .lock.bra file ( Copy and paste to other location )

And delete the file .lock.bra from /oracle/MR2/saparch/

Hi Miyata,

This may be happenning due to the OS processes are still running and you have a loc.bra created and BRARCHIVE is failing.

Find out any process is in hang situtaion i.e. for Unix check with ps -ef ....

Kill the child process by kill -9 command . or ELSE take a restart of the Server.
