Hi,

actually I am testing the mobile opportunities in design studio 1.6.
But I still have a problem when I execute the application.

At the Moment I have build a very small application with a crosstab (1 characteristic and 3 key figures) and a chart which show the crosstab data. But unfortunately I only see the first two columns on my iPhone 6s and the chart is also not showing total when I set the Layout settings on auto.

Can someone help me how I can design this that everything is show directly on the phone? Because when I set the width of the Chart to 400 px everything is ok, but then I have the width only for the iPhone 6s and not for e.g. iPhone SE.

Thanks for your help in advance.

Greetings

Nina

Hi Nina,

I number of points to keep in mind when designing for mobile:

1) The layout of your application should not target specific device sizes with fixed dimension but should instead be implemented with a responsive design that automatically adapts to the device. This can be achieved with a combination of CSS, auto-sizing components and container components such as the Grid Layout. In Lumira Designer 2.0 you can also use the Adaptive Layout Container which is intended specifically for mobile use cases;

2) In general, it is recommended not to use the Crosstab component for applications that run on phones because of the very limited screen real estate available for showing meaningful data. If you must, you should limit the Crosstab to a maximum of 3 columns.

Regards,

Mustafa.

Nina - have you considered trying to use the iPhone template, mentioned in the SAP Help? See https://help.sap.com/doc/8cf61587f4e247b9b54eeef6c0b6909d/1.6.4.0/en-US/ds_16SP04_whatsnew_en.pdf

Hi Tammy,

The formatting of the documentation in the SAP Help that you have referenced is probably a little misleading. All mobile templates, including the iPhone templates have been deprecated as of SAP UI5 M Mode.

Hi Nina,

if you are developing a dashboard specifically for iphone, you can also try to set a specific column width for each column manually.

And use CSS de make the font size smaller..

Kind regards,

Dwain
