MSS in ERP 6.0

Hi, all!

We' re implementing ESS/MSS on ERP 6.0 (mySAP ERP 2005), and I' m a little confused about the ESS/MSS business packages different structure: While ESS seems to have a Self Service-Homepage, I cannot find any in the MSS folder line_manager, although there are entries in the corresponding Homepage Framework customizing

In SAP Help for ERP 2004, the Overview Area is mentioned for ESS, in documentation of MSS for ERP 6.0 (regardless of the Enhancement Package), such a reference is missing. I also cannot find any info about this matter in release notes.

Can anybody tell me what happend with the MSS Homepage from ERP 2004 to ERP 6.0?

Hello Thomas,

basically you can find something similar. Its called "Service Map".

Anyway, what happend with the Homepage framework? It got disestablished. The reason i have heared from SAP is that customer feedback wasnt that pleased about the approach to first enter a "Homepage" before you can actually see some content. When a manager, a decider, enters his portal he wants to see his most important tasks / infos right ahead, without to manually click a service.

Ditto Markus. Heard the same thing. But the MSS HF is still there in config should a customer want to use it.
