Missing shipping point/receiving pt

Hello,

I have a problem with shipping determination. I have created my shipping conditions assigned in customer record, assigned loading grp in material record, did customizations like sales doc type/shipping condition, replaced LF with my delivery type, config SC- Loading grp-plant-proposed shipping point. But when i create Sales order and item, shipping tab does not automatically show 'shipping point'. Basically, it is not getting determined? Any ideas, clues. When I give manually the shipping point, the error message is

"Ship.condition 01 loading grp Z001 plant ZVK StLoc not defined" but my delv type is custom one and assigned in sales order and also my SC is assigned to Sales order type in IMG. What is the problem?

Please help. Points will be awarded.

hi,

check for the plant .

2.check whether the shippin gpoints is assigned to the plant.

3.then check the determination in OVL2.

Hello Guys,

Thank you all for the help. I have verified and i had done all that. I am still having problem.When I go to incompletion log:

I get 'Missing Shipping point/receving pt' and all the fields are blank except plant(ZVK), delivery priority ('1'), max part delv('9'), order combination

(checked), net weight, gross weight. Anything to do with unloading point, receiving point, route, shipping type that i need to configure or any background job to run to update?

Shipping Cond: Z8

Loading grp: Z001

Shipping point : ZVK1

sale doc typ : ZA99

delivery type : ZLFV

delivery item cat : ZVKN

storage loc: ZKV

I have

1) Defined Shipping Point in Enterprise Struct: ZVK1

2) Assigned shipping point to plant in enterprise :

ZVK (plnt) -- ZVK1(sp)

3) defined shipping conditions: Z8 (thru shipping point and goods receiving detr)

4) assigned shipping condition to sales type:

ZA99- Z8

5) defined loading grp : Z001

6) did shipping point determination

Z8(SC) -- Z001(lgrp) -- ZVK(plnt) -- ZVK1(prshp)

7) defined delv typ: ZLFV

😎 defined delv item cat : ZVKN

9) did item cat determintaiton

ZLFV (del) typ) -- ZVKN (item cat)CHSP (usage) ZVKN (Item cat)

10) in my sales doc type : i have assigned delivery type ( ZLFV) in Shipping section.

11) ASSIGNED storage loc to plant and warehouse in Enterprise: ZKVZvk001. But in the error message i do not see the Stloc populated. is it any clue?

Hi Venky,

In SPRO -> Logistics Execution -> Shipping -> Basic Shipping Functions -> Shipping Point and Goods Receiving Point Determination -> Setup storage location dependent shipping point determination -> Define rule for determination of shipping point -> select your delivery type and check what is the determination rule.

If the rule is plant specific maintain data in SPRO -> Logistics Execution -> Shipping -> Basic Shipping Functions -> Shipping Point and Goods Receiving Point Determination -> Assign shipping points

If the rule is storage location specific maintain data in SPRO -> Logistics Execution -> Shipping -> Basic Shipping Functions -> Shipping Point and Goods Receiving Point Determination -> Setup storage location dependent shipping point determination -> Assign Shipping points according to storage location.

Also do note that the shipping condition in your sales document type has prirority over the shipping condition in your customer master record.

Check in [VOV8] if you have assigned your delivery document type to the sales document type in shipping tab.

Please check the material master view : Sales org/general plant data whether the the loading group is maintained or not ?.

I do not see the path you mentioned. I searched (binoculars) in all SPRO but no 'shipping point determination' as one string.What i have is :

spro>logistics> shipping> basic ship func> shipping point and recv point deter..-->

1. define shipping cond

2. define shipping cond by sales doc tyep

3. define loading grp

4. assign shipping point

5. assign goods receving point for inbound delv

I am not sure where is the 'rule based determination for shipping'?

I have checked , lgrp is already maintained in material master and shipping cond, delivering plant is maintained in customer master. strange i do not see the delivering plant in sales item doc!!!!! it should pick from customer master right...does that give any clue to the original problem?

Hi Venky,

In addition to the options you have specified I do see the rule based config option too. I'm working on ECC 6.0. Do let me know on which version you are working? Also search for the string "rule for determination" and check if anything pops up.

Hi Guys,

When I manually assign 'ZVK1' shipping point in 'shipping tab' in sales order. I get this err:

'Ship cond 01 loading grp z001 plant zvk stloc not defined'

I am not sure why it is picking '01' ship cond when i have specified in determinations as Z8 AND stloc is spaces in the error message'. Does that give any clue to the original prob?

Hi Venky,

I have also check in R/3 4.7 and couldnt find the rule based options. I guess it was provided in the later versions.

Remeber the shipping condition is picked from the Sold to Party master record and not the ship to. So incase the you have different shipping conditions choose the appropriate one.

Hi,

If you have made all configurations and still getting this error, then go to Sales:General / Plant view in material master. Maintain the loading group. For e.g. 1001. Try to create sales order again. Now system should automatically pick up shipping point.

Hi

You seem to have correctly configured the Shipping point determination. However pls check the following

Solution 1

Maintain Manual Shipping point in your Config : SC-LGrp-Plant-PrShPt -MShPt

Here mention the manual shipping point you are otherwise entering while creating sales order, and save.

Solution 2

Check whether you have maintained Storage Location against your Plant in Enterprise structure. I think there is more chance that no storage location is maintained for your plant.

For this go to Enterprise structure --> Definition -->Materials Management -->Maintain storage location

Here create the storage location for your plant.

here check if 01,Z001,ZVK is assigned to Proposed Shipping point ifn ot then create one

Hi Venky,

I think U did all the configuration settings correct.

Just a basic suggestion, check with the shipping point assignment to Plant in Enterprize st. Assignment.

Not sure......check once.

Or once again go through ur shipping point determiantion process in IMG-LE-Shipping-Basic shipping functions-Shipping point and goods recieving point
