Urgent!! Language contents in Database server

Hello Experts..

Is there any way i can find out that how many characters are stored in my sap database server.. such as.. EN 1000 chars RU 200 Chars..???

Not by default.

During a Unicode migration the system is scanned completely and you will need to classify the characters as such.

Two questions:

a) are you on a Unicode system?

b) What do you want to do with that number? What does it tell you?

This is not easy to answer.

If you did already your preprocessing (SPUMG/SPUM4) you will see a statistics about the number of words classified in the system.

What do you mean with "database adjustments"?

A Unicode conversion is a complete export and re-import of the database basically consisting of those steps:

- preparation (transaction SPUMG or SPUM4 if on 4.6c)

including manual vocabulary maintenance

- export of the source database

- installation of a NEW database

- re-import of the export

There are many many single steps to follow, don´t underestimate the time you will need for that.
