Data source change

Hello All,

1. We have added one extra field to the exiting data source in the R/3 system.

My requirement is I need to migrate these changes to BI system.

Could anybody let me know what are the following steps to replicate this field in the BI7.0 system.

Any help greatly appreciated.

1. Make sure in RSA6 in R/3, the field is not hidden. Uncheck hide box in RSA6 for the new fields.

2. Replicate the data source in BI.

3. Make sure you have identified the info object(s) to which the new field will eb mapped to.

4. If you are 3.5: add the info objects to the comm strcture, maintain transfer rules, maintain update rules and activate the update rules. Now you are ready to load data.

5. If you are 7.0 and still use info source, then step 4 is fine.

6. If you are in 7.0 and use transformation, then maintian the rules for the new objects in transformation; activate the transformation.
