PDP Issue with Free Text items

Hi Gurus,

I am facing an issue in PDP with extended classic. I am working in SRM 5.0 extended classic scenario. When I create a shopping cart in SRM or requisition in ECC with free text i.e description based req with backend product category, it automatically picks Local Purchase group in SRM and creates a Local PO i.e standalone PO which doesn't get replicated to backend. But when I create a requisition in ECC or shopping cart in SRM with material, it automatically picks backend purchase group and PO gets replicated to backend. Is someone ever faced this situation? Is this a standard behaviour of extended classic scenario? I don't think so but still I need a confirmation from srm gurus. Please do let me know it is very very urgent and imp for me. Suitable points will be rewarded for helpful answers.

Thanks and Regards

Kapil

Hi Kapil,

I have tried this scenario in ECS. The PR goes to SRM even with free text.

What is the error you are getting?

Only in case of the material without accounting view & with a cost center, the PR is not going to SRM.

Hey Teja,

PR for short text does go to SRM but it creates a Local PO which doesn't get replicated to SRM. It picks Local purchase group in SRM.

Hi Kapil,

I agree with Teja.

All my free text reqs go to Sourcing Cockpit or to R/3 with the needed backend

information.

Your scenario is happening for all material driven reqs in SRM, which are order

via "order as direct". For these the local SRM scenario is used by standard.

Maybe you have a setting for categories in place to be managed in SRM?

Cheers,
