Hello Janapathi

This is how host file works...when you access the front-end tool like Analyser or Query designer...OLAP system looks for Host string in Host file instead of IP....i don't know if IP address works for them...

Just give this a try

you are having access to your dev/quality/prod system right...cool. When you go to logon pad just select your system and go to change item and see what is the IP defined(verified it with team). When u open any session for this IP system creates a string in host file. Now Go to Host file and try to find out this IP and string below 127.0.0.0.....infront of this IP you will have a string sth like

Your system IP xxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxx.com

Put this string xxxxxxx.com in your log on pad in the system change mode in place of IP. It will work.Remove unnecessary line which u have added in host file

Thanks
