Information on TREX, KMC

Hi Guys,

I am new to EP..in the process of learning.I would like to have some information on installation of TREX, KMC.I don't have access to "http://service.sap.com".

Could anyone please let me know if I could find trial versions of the above?....provide me with some installation instructions and some basics to get started.My mail id is sam_bonigala@yahoo.com

I have the trial version of EP7.0 SP9 2004s installed.

Hi Sam,

I haven't try to use the trail version, but when you are visiting your link you will see a hyperlink for downloading NW04 SP16, NW04s SP7.

And the information:

TREX

....

So you have still KMC and TREX installed.

So you mean to say once i have installed,

Java Edition File 2 (1.577.579.520 bytes)

Deverloper Studio (479.899.648 bytes),</b>

I should be good to go with KMC and TREX, I mean installed on my desktop ?

I am actually trying to learn myself..so please correct if I am mistaken any where.

Hi Sam,

yes you are right.

Installing Java Edition File 1 and 2 you must have a full version of the Portal including KMC. And there must also a TREX installed.

When you have within the portal at the top level navigation "Content Administration" "KM Content" or within "System Administration" "Monitoring" "Knowledge Management" this will be the proof. And even you have green traffic lights in Monitoring > Knowledge Management > TREX than you know your TREX is running well.

Hi,

You can download trial version of KMC from SDN.

Visit the download area in SDN https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/downloads and Click on KM link.

When I click on the link "https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/downloads" and on KM I am forwarded to "https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/downloaditem?rid=/webcontent/uuid/a62ad7fa-0a01-0010-3489-f3fc32658bd8" which is the same from where I have installed Enterprise Portal.

So I think I already have the KMC installed.

Could you please let me know where I can find TREX trial version. Here I couldn't find any info on TREX.
