I can only answer for BOBJ part : There isn't one. It doesn't matter how you restart them. You can restart Tomcat first and then SIA or SIA first and then Tomcat.

On BODS side - you'll need to ask under SAP Data Services tag.

    • If you want to better understand BOBJ - Admin guide would be the start, then there are multiple videos on YouTube and a lot of blog posts under SAP BusinessObjects tags.

    Hi Kaushik,

As Denis already updated from BOBJ side same will be applicable for BODS as well.

    • Stop Tomcat
    • Stop SIA (Server Intelligence Agent)
    • Stop Data Services
    • Start SIA (Server Intelligence Agent)
    • Start Data Services
    • Start Tomcat

I hope this will help, regarding SLT i'm not aware.

      Hi, Daya,

      Thank you for the answer.

I have seen a lot of your answers that you post, appreciate your contribution.

Please don't mind I have a few more questions When I restart the service in CMC i.e SIA, Tomcat or SAP Data Services from the service level, does this cause any impact as there are 2 CMC serves and 2 job servers configured in out landscape.

it would be a great help if you can let me know where I can find the logs/traces of the services in OS level (WINDOWS servers ) and any documents or pdf or Snotes that would help me troubleshoot the issues that occur in sap bods.

In my case, I see 2 issues that occur on daily basis

1)Job server is not accessible. Connection refused

      cat1.jpg

      2)Job failed or timeout error

      cat2.jpg

Just point me to what to look at when we have these type of issues.

      *Sorry for the long post*

      Thanks & Regards,

      Kaushik G.
