Suite on HANA

Dear Expert:

Currently, we are using ECC, and we are considering to choose SOH(Suite on HANA) or S4 HANA in future.

However, we want to know the SAP support life cycle for Suite on HANA, is it will be ended in 2025? or can i have some information regarding this.

Hello,

Suite on HANA is not really an official SAP name, although often used. Based on info you have provided, I understand you are assessing two differents roadmaps:

1. - Replacing the current DB of your ECC (together with EhP update depending on your current EhP), this would end-up in an ECC powered by SAP HANA ( minimum would be ECC Ehp7 )
2. - "Upgrading" your ECC to SAP S/4HANA ( attention, S/4HANA is a new product, which means it requires additional licences)

ECC6.0, whether it runs on HANA or not, is currently to planned to be in "Mainstream" Maintenance until December 2025. As a general rule, and unless something changes in the maintenance strategy in between, after the Mainstream Maintenance, your ECC will enter the Customer-Specific Maintenance (unless SAP offers Extended Maintenance for the product until then, which is not the case currently). There is no "official end of maintenance'" for SAP Business Suite products, but the scope of the maintenance will be reduced when the product enters Customer-Specific Maintenance.
