Consolidating several fields into one char.

Hi all.

We are currently using the BC CATS cube 0CATS_C01, which have been customized a little.

I have been asked to consolidate the fields of 0PROJECT (attr. from 0NETWORK), 0COST_CENTER or 0RECV_ORDER into a single object, because the time data will always be entered in eather a project, cost center or an internal order.

I have already tried with a simple solution with a ABAP routine in the update rules, which updates into a custom characteristic. This solution has the disadvantages that no attributes can be used (no master data for the custom object), and that i.e. project is saved in the internal format and not converted.

Any suggestions in how to do this?
