Is it useful to have warehouse experience before entering into ERP-MM ?

Hi I am Virendra (BE-Mechanical, MBA-Operations) working in Vitabiotics as supply chain executive (Warehouse experience,WMS).I am SAP MM end user (Rel. energy).So I am thinking about entering into ERP sector,and want to be a SAP MM consultant. So is it useful to have warehouse experience before entering into ERP ?I am thinking about doing SAP certification.So please guide me to be a consultant. What should be my next step?

Since you already have warehouse experience, it would be ideal if you start doing course on SAP WM. Search here for more information.

Hi - in my experience, many companies who run MM do not always run warehouse management - so it depends on the company. Certification (in my opinion) always helps in my view, as it forces you to learn the module.

I recommend going to training.sap.com, signing up for the Learning Hub (Discovery Edition is free) - and check the SAP Learning Journeys to help provide a suggested learning map
