Product Substitution Master data ??

Hello Forum,

Can anyone please throw some light on this master data with a business use-case at high level ?

- Can this master data be utilized by any Operator (Optimizer, Inventory Optimization etc) ?

Please share some inputs

It can be used to substitute a product for which capacity bottle neck or cost has reached the threshold. The substitution product should have a customer source of supply defined.
