OSS Message

Hi Folks,

Can anyone here please let me know about the below

1.Is OSS message different from SAP Notes.

2.Does OSS messages differs from w.r.t the ID we use to log in SAP Portal

My Understanding is that

Whenever we come across a problem in SAP we raise a message which will have a unique number and then SAP will let us know if there is any Notes available for this paritcular error.

I think this message number is unique w.r.t the ID and can't be checked if we use a different ID for logging into SAP Portal.Message number is different from NOTES NUMBER.Am I right?
