Did the transport got released in which you collected your object?

It could also be possible this way:

If you are working on a infoprovider and some one else is also using the same infoprovider to develop their quereis and collect and transport them then any one object in your query or webtempalte etc... could have been collected in some other transport by others.

Check the ID of the object (if its a workbook or webtempalte or query then the alphanumeric number) that is unique for each object and then go and check if it has been locked or collected by someone else in someother transport.

Hope this helps!!

This is an existing Web template. I am the only one making changes to it. I have not yet captured it in any transport request. I followed the following steps:

1. Create a BEx transport request.

2. Assigned the request to the relevant BEx Package.

3. Changed the Web Template and clicked save.

At this point I get the message "The Object cannot be processed due to a transport problem". And the Web Template is not saved and also not captured in the request.

I then went to Transport Connection and collected the web template and tried to assign it to my existing request and it gives the above error.

Please help me solve this.

I have idestified the problem and fixed it. The BW DEV system was set to non-modifiable in SE03 - "Set System Change Option". I changed it to Modifiale. The perticular web template I was working on yesterday went through fine.

But now I have the same issue with another web template.

Please let me know if any of you have a solution for this.

Thanks

We have found that if the WAD is open when the BEx transport is created, that these errors appear.

For us, if we create a new BEx Transport from RSA1, then we close down WAD, re-open, then start making the changes to our templates.

Often I have found that I make changes to my template, release the BEx transport, wait for it to come through to PROD, test, see I need to make another change, and try to change in WAD, only to find the error message you mention, even though a new BEx request has been created ... close down the WAD, open again, open the template, and then everything seems fine.

cheers,

Try this:

Go to RSA1 - transport connection and look for your query / web template and collec them. While collecting save the changes to a transport request.

When I try to assign a request to the Web Template I am getting the following error.

____________________________________________________________________________

System setting does not allow changes to be made to object TMPL Z_XYZ

Message no. TO128

Diagnosis

The system and namespace change option set for this SAP System does not allow any changes to be made to object TMPL Z_XYZ.

System response

Editing is terminated, the object can only be displayed.

Procedure

If you want to edit the object TMPL Z_XYZ in this SAP System, have your system administator set the SAP System to "modifiable" for this object.

This can affect the modifiability of the namespace &1 or the namespaces that correspond to the pattern &1, as well as the global setting of the system change option.

The system change option is set using the Transport Organizer tools (Transaction SE03). Expand the Administration node and execute the program Set system change option. The options are described there.

Please help me know how to proceed.

Hi,

Did you assign the transport request to the correct dev package?
