    Hi,

The infopackage which loads either master/transactional data may get fail due to various reasons:

    Few of them are:

    1.SID Issue

2.Transfer rules or update rules inactive

    3.Datasource replication error

    4.Duplicate Records

    5.Short dumps

6.Job termination in the source system

    7.Alpha confirming value

    8.Time overlapping error

Please check SDN , Sap library and OSS notes for more clarity on cause and solution to above problems .

Well, If any infopackage got failed , it can be identified in the monitor screen >>>details tab>> check at what stage it got failed

    1.Extraction (messages): .............

2.Transfer (IDocs and TRFC): (TRFC stuck)

3.Processing (data packet): at transfer rules/update rules

In the Infopackage,if Update mode is set to delta ,it is MANDATORY to set the QM status of the load to red and delete the requets from all the data targets.(for update mode:Full ,not needed),

Now ,rectify the error due to which the infopackage got failed...........

Repeat the Infopackage, check finally the correct load reached to the target and report availability symbol populated or not(for ODS ,after ODS activation the symbol pops up)

Check the following link for some inputs:

    Assign points if it helps!

    Sapster,

    Look in the monitor:

Go to the infopackage and use the Monitor button (grey TV-screen button)

In the monitor you can see what went wrong.

Depending on that you can see what you have to do to rectify it.

    Hi,

Have you come across this scenario, or is this just an interview question? Whenever any load fails, you need to go to the monitor and check the Details tab to see the cause of the error and proceed accordingly.

    Hope this helps...

      Hi,

First we will check why the load got failed, and analyse it.If it fails at ,

1.suppose at ODS activation level, no need of running the info package again, Just activate that request in the ODS.

2.If it fails due to RFC connection , in that case we delete the request and again re run the info package.

It depends upon the scenario. If the load fails , go to the monitor and the details tab will give all the steps.

Check out SDN for the errors, and how to solve it.

      Assign points if it helps.....

    Hi once again,

Just to give more clarity to my previous post

In the Infopackage,if Update mode is set to delta ,it is MANDATORY to set the QM status of the load to red and delete the requests from all the data targets .This is called repeat delta which is required to recover the lost delta load.

For upate mode "full",it is not mandatory to make the QM status of the load to red ,however the bad requets has to be deleted from all data targets.

      Hi Swapna,

Thank U very much for a details answer!! Everytime I have been missing a point to delete the request at the target level before loading it again... thanks for making it a specific point!!

Thanks to J S as well!! and Gupta as well!!

      Regards,

      Sapster.
