Exit for RMDATIND to change a custom MARD field

I want to be able to change the contents of a custom MARD field when an LSMW is run that uses RMDATIND. I'm looking at EXIT_SAPLMGMU_001 but I think you can only change MARA fields. Is there another way to do this?

I have already added the custom field to BMMH1 and it is being successfully updated by he LSMW. But I can't find a way to change it in a user exit.

I'm confused... You're saying "it is being successfully updated by [t]he LSMW". So what exactly is a problem then?
