Hi Experts,
The situation is the following: We have a single template which displays a pie chart. The pie chart displays one of three levels of data: exec level data (i.e. the pie chart is composed of the sub exec data elements), the sub exec level data (i.e. the pie chart is composed of the sub sub exec data elements) and the sub sub exec level data.
The pie chart is set by default to display the exec level data and we would like to use the same template to display the sub exec and subsub exec data by default in order to avoid having to create 3 identical templates with different Data Providers.
Is there any way to change the URL parameters of the template in order to specify which Data Provider to use? i.e. depending of who the user is the portal can call the same template with a different Data Provider which will therefore load the relevant level of data by default. Otherwise the sub exec level users will end up seeing the exec level data but due to restriction will only see a full circle pie chart which is not useful to them until they drill down to their level.
I'm not sure if this is clear. If it isn't please let me know and I can explain better.
Thank you,
Regards,
Ale
