Importing a local DC into NDWI controlled DC

Hi

Was trying to import a locally created DC (note: NOT a local web dynpro) into NWDI.

What I did was create a new DC in NWDI then selecting the import from local project option but it seems that i can only import from local web dynpro projects and not local DC projects. Any work around?

I also tried the method described here http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/42/c8204dd57f136fe10000000a1553f7/frameset.htm

but i am getting errors when i build the project... some project configs like build paths have not been copied over apparently...

hi Beng,

Other than the standard webdynpro jar files (which appear by default when you create a DC), if you use any other DCs as in your Used DCs list, they need to be declared as Used DCs again.

If you dont see the standard webdynpro jar files (meaning, if the Build Path for the new DC is almost empty, then there's something wrong with the Track definition.)

Thanks,

Hi Rajit,

I do not have any other used DCs other then the standard one. You are right, my build path is empty. So you are saying chances are i have done it correctly but the track definitions in NWDI are not correct? What should i do to correct it?

First, check if your SC has all the required SCs declared in the Track definition. (JBUILDT,JTECHS and JEE). If not, declare them in SLD, sync CMS, then declare in Track definition, then re-import Development configuration in Studio and create a new DC.

If you are not sure, I suggest you follow help on creating Tracks.

Good luck,

Rajit
