Hi,
Is SAP having its own database just like Oracle ? If yes then what is that n why its not popular ?
Thanks,
Binay.
Oracle is king in database software.
SAP supports many database:
Oracle
MS-SQL
DB2
Informix
and many others...
including SAP's own MAXDB( or SAPDB or ADABAS)
maybe customers feel better with Oracle as there are more people knowing how to manage Oracle?
[Markus, I did not intend to copy your answer... I just posted about the same answer 4 minutes later... before I saw yours]

SAP RUNS on various databases, not only Oracle but also DB2 and MS-SQL server.
Additionally SAP has an own database called MaxDB, former called SAPDB, former called ADABAS D.
Check the MaxDB/Livecache forum also
