Hi,
I'm almost closing an upgrade deal here when suddenly, the IT Director was presented a different strategy that will "save time and money" from the competitor.
Specifically, the steps are below:
1. Fresh installation of ERP 6
2. Data extraction in flat-file from 4.6C and imported into ERP 6
3. Taking reference from 4.6C configuration and manually entered into ERP 6
Technically, this seems OK, and it's probably workable, but from the audit/consulting point of view, the risks are high.
We mentioned the loss of time-stamp for the existing documents, etc., but frankly, if this is treated as a "fresh installation", technically it's not wrong.
Does anyone have anything to add besides these?
Any help would be much appreciated!!!
Thanks in advance!
