Authentication popup for oData service in self system gateway

Hi Experts,

I am facing basic authentication popup in gateway client while executing the Odata service.

This should not asked if i am already logged in to system and executing the service from gateway. I have checked that user is having sufficient authorization and is able to connect to back end system with trusted RFC.

Kindly help in resolving the same.

Hi,

Basic authentication is the simplest form of authentication where consumer application simply provides a user ID and password while requesting to SAP NetWeaver Gateway.

Why are you getting this pop?

Because It does not support SSO (single sign-on), and basic auth. requires login credentials and initial passwords.

This authentication process is triggered automatically when you make a business OData call Although make sure Gateway system already has public-key infrastructure (PKI) setup.

Hi Reshma,

Please check the trusted RFC connection setting to the backend.
