Is there any alternative to tcode GCLE?

Hi,

I don't think there is alternate transaction code for this. It is part of configuration and the Menu Path is as under:

IMG> Financial Accounting > Special Purpose Ledger > Planning > Plan Settings > Activate Line Items > Activate Local Line Items (GCLE).

Activate Global Line Items (GCGE).

Thanks for the replies.

Our issue is for one of the company codes with statistical controlling area the line items are not being posted into custom special ledger for new year.

Interestingly for other company codes (not statistical controlling area) its not shown as active line items for the new year but the items are still being posted to custom special ledger?? BTW what is the statistical controlling area?

and forgot to add that we dont have authorisation for GCLE in production!!! so how it is happeneing for other co codes and not for this one?

Is there any harm in doing this? Is there any way that I can undo the transaction?

Hey Guys,

Thanks for your feedback, after activating the line items I found that cost center is not being copied to special ledger and the field is coming out to be blank.

Did you create a field movement for the planning with the cost center field in there.

It was happeneing last year infact, I am confused like why it is not doing it now. How do I do that? I am a Technical.

Not sure, However, If you want to transport the Customizing setting for writing local line items into the productive system and the opening balance of the plan summary records is to be entered as line items, you must execute this function in the productive system.
