Hi all,
Could you please tell me what is the difference between Maintanence Workcenters
and Production Workcenters? What is the use of dividing it? If possible, please explain me with example.
Any help will be appreciated with points.
Regards,
Vijay
They are two entirely different things..
Maintenance workcenters are usually teams with a common skills or capability to perform a certain kind of maintenance work. Production workcenters are usually a set of machines which produce a product.
thanks

Main work center: Group of people working for maintenance activities which is used for PM order scheduling & planning
Workcenter: May be your set of m/c. This is the integration of PP & PM.
If u assign the workcenter defined in PP to the equipment, it will link PM & PP,
This will help you in planning production orders..
Hope this will help you to understand...
