Crystal Reports has stopped working 2013 on Windows 10

I researched the knowledge base.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled.

Turned on DEP and selected crw32.exe

Changed compatibility to Windows XP.....but nothing has worked for me.

I'm running Crystal Reports 2013, SP9 on a brand new Windows 10 CPU. I've downloaded and installed the recommended windows updates.

I'm in a time crunch for data. Any help would be appreciated.

I would check the Antivirus software logs, CR accesses a lot of registry keys and does a lot of writing to the hard drive when reports are being rendered.

We've seen this before, AV software needs to be told crw32.exe is safe.

I have this report working on my laptop, BUT Crystal still Stops working, as explained above, on my new desktop CPU. (The CPU will be much faster.)

The database contains .dat and .idx files. I'm fairly certain that the index files made the difference....just by process of elimination.

Laptop vs desktop setup: Same version of Crystal, Exact same database files, ODBC driver set up exactly the same. What am I overlooking?

Thanks in advance for helping me think this thru.

Ok. Back to this issue now that we have a fresh install of Windows 10, to work with.

Recap: After accessing the database, just when Crystal starts to print data to the screen, I get "Crystal Reports has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly."

Windows 10, CR2013 sp9, FairCom 32bit ODBC driver. Event Viewer, program and CPU detail are in the attached files.

All current windows updates are installed.

Crystal accesses the database, then just when the data starts printing to the screen, I get the error, "Crystal Reports has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly."

Maybe there's more to this.........I just got another error that the Windows installer service could not be accessed when re-installing the ODBC driver. Checked services, the Windows installer is running/manual. I'm going to take the CPU back and let them put a fresh install of Windows back on the machine and see if that helps.

I'll respond tomorrow when I get the CPU back from warranty work.

Would you please explain in details how exactly it stopped working. The workflow, the symptoms. What does event viewer says etc...
You haven't provided any details for us to work with.
