Workflows table is not showing up in Data Manager drop down table list

Hi,

I am able to see Workflows table in Console but not able to see it Data Manager drop down table list in record mode for selection.

Even not allowed to create another workflow table.

Hi Reo,

exuse me... but have you installed teh MDM Workflow client?

The last package is MDMWorkflowInstall_Ver5.5.41.70.exe

I have installed workflow client.

I am in MDM 5.5 SP04 hotpatch-4.

I have also tried to create another table with type 'workflow' but I think it is not allowed. Error message saying "table already exist."

Reo,

You will not be able to create another workflow table. There is only a single workflow table that will hold all the workflows you create through the Data Manager.

As Vito mentioned, please make sure to load the corresponding MDMWorkflow component on the client machines running the Data Manager that you wish to create and view workflows from.

Once the workflow component is installed you should see it as a new tab in the Data Manager. You will need Visio to create workflows.

Hi Tim,

I had loaded workflow executables before placing sdn message.

I have loaded workflow component(client) on my local machine by executing Installworkflow.exe that comes in the zip file along with all other client executables like IM,DM etc.

However unlike IM,DM workflow does not create an icon on the desktop.Is it correct? Let me know if I am missing something more than this.

Yes Reo,

you're right. No icon on the desktop. Now you would be able to see the WF in the Data Manager.

Hi Reo,

You wont get any desktop icon for wrokflowinstall.

Its like a patch that interfaces the MSVisio, Data manager and the MDM Server.

If you install it you can see the workflow table enabled in the Data manager.

Now you can assign workflow to your records.

To create workflows you need MS Visio on your system

To see the Workflow Table you need to Install Microsft Visio 2003 or Higher.

The Workflow table in the Console and the Workflow tab in the Data Manager will be visible without the need for Visio. Visio is only needed to create Workflows through the Data Manager.

I mean to say that in order to create Workflows, you need the version 2003 of Microsoft Visio.

And in order to "enter" the workflow table in the Data Manager, you need to install the Workflow plug in like the other members of this forum said.

Hi All,

I have installed the workflow client from the zip file provided by SAP.

Still I am not able to see the Workflow table in Data Manager but able to see that workflows table in Console.

Any reason for this?
