How do I change an mail forwarding address in SAP office

We have a user that has been created with a misspelled last name. I can see where the user is defined in SO36 but cannot change his mail forwarding address to the proper one in SO36. The user does not get workflow notifications or notifications from the LSO system. Is there a way to change the users forwarding email address in SAP. Our users do not use SAP office all emails are forwarded to exchange. I can see where I can select the other user in SO12 but it seems like the only option is to "Reset user". I can't find anything about what exactly happens when you reset the user. Any input would be helpful as searches haven't really said much.

Thank You

Troy

A simple alternative is to maintain the new email address on the old ID. No forwarding necessary.

On another note, why don't you just use email addresses directly instead of going via SapOffice if users don't use SapOffice?

He only has one ID, it is easy to correct the misspelling of his last name using SU01 and to correct his email address using the same transaction. What has to be corrected is the mail forwarding setup. SO36 does not offer that option. As for your second point, "mine is not to question why, mine is only to fix when told" In other words I know not why. I found the answer a few minutes ago. Use SO12 > select other user and reset said user. Clears out all forwarding information and forwarding address can be reset.

Ah, I assumed you had created a second user to replace the misspelled one.

There's also an option to forward to users' home addresses, less maintenance as everything uses the same email address.
