Changing posting date in QA11

Hello all

I would like to change the posting date while posting the stock from quality inspection to unrestricted. Is there anyway, i can do that?

Kishnamohan,

I'm sorry .Actually you can change the start date.I just tested this one.When you go to QA32 click inspection lot and change the date in the inspection lot.The end date reamins the same and does not update .When you click the check mark the syustems gives a warning that the end date is not consistitent or something like that.But that is just a warning.So the start date can be changed .Let us all know on how ur doing on this one.Thanks

Thanks all for your responses. I think when you have handling units in your quality inspection lot,system will not allow you to change the posting date. I could not solve the problem. but for now, we opened the current period and adjusting the stock accordingly.

There is a "Doc" button, with hat Icon before posting frame. Click it, you will find "document date" and "Posting Date" and can change any of them.

First of all i'm not sure ion why you wnat to change the posting date .The start date and end date is populate based upon the avg.duration field you input in MM -QM view .The start date is populated when the process order is released and based on the value given in material master the system calculates the end date.you can try changing it in in QA32 but i'm sure i woudlnt change .Your are asking the system to calculate the end date by giving a value in Material master and once it's calculated now you want to change the date .As per i know this may not be possibleunless there is someone who has done this before.

Dear Mr.Krishnamohan,

I dont know how to carryout in QA12,but try with this.

IF you want to Change the starting & End date,please check as given below.

1.Using T code QA32,give the inputs and execute,

2.Select the inspection lot row & click on the Change Inspection Lot button

(ControlShiftF6).

3.There you can change the Insp.Start Date & End Date.

Thanks Mangalraj for the reply,even after changing the start date and end date through QA32, system is not allowing me to post in previous periods.(previous periods are open).

After clicking on the Inspection Lot -

Usage Decision -

After filling the field for

Un-Restricted quantity field,there in that screen ,just above to that field,you will be

able to see the <b>header (Cap Picture),</b>Click on that,Enter the Document Date

& Posting Date as per your wish.

<b>Now check the same in MB51.</b>

Hi Mangalraj

I am creating the inspection lot from production order and unfortunately i am not able to see the screen 'document header'. I think that screen appears for other types of inspection lots. so, the issue is still there for me. But, thanks for your time.

The procedure i followed is, Create process order and release the order. Pack the order with Handling units and do results recording for the inspection lot. While doing the UD, system is taking sy-datum as posting date.

Dear During UD in the stock psoting tab page,

when you enter the quantity please see one push button (header), if you click on that a popup screen opens wher you can see the posting date and document date, default is sy-datum, which can be changed.
