Hi,

BIC mapping are not restricted to any adapter as far as your are picking EDI use the same module which you used in AS2 or whatever it will work. The module parameters for Classifer / Splitter and BIC mapping remains the same.

I have number of such scenarios with File adapter.

Hi Monoj,

Thank you for your quick reply.

for example I am having X2E_MATERIAL_MASTER_FFI BIC mapping in one of my FTP receiver channel. in PI 7.0 system which is having see burger Integration.

Now system is migrating to PO 7.5 how can I replicate functionality of above mapping which is not using See burger.

Thanks

So if your 7.5 system doesn't have Seeburger component then how it is planned to handled B2B interfaces ? If you are planning to get Seeburger components for 7.5 as well then the module configuration remains same as it is which is there in 7.0.

if you are not planning to get the seeburger components and handled it via SAP's B2B Addon this will be complete rebuild interfaces in this case . So first thing is you need to check how are you handling B2B interfaces via Seeburger or SAP's B2B Addon depending on that can provide further inputs.

And also X2E_MATERIAL_MASTER_FFI looks like custom BIC mapping i.e this is not provided by seeburger as standard content.

Hi Manoj,

We are having scenarios which has AS2 adapter for that we are taking the structure XSD from B2B cockpit content genarator and crating a mapping between EDI and B2B structure.

initial scenario will IDOC--------->LIST in PI 7.0

and

New scenario will be IDOC-----> LIST

LIST-------->B2B

for Inbound scenario Vice versa of above.

Ok now its clear . You want to build EDI interfaces with B2B check the below blog which will give you an idea on how to build :

For inbound : https://blogs.sap.com/2012/09/27/b2b-edi-inbound-step-by-step-configuration/

For outbound : Its quite similar to see-burger the only difference is in Seeburger reciever channel you would be using BIC Mapping module where as in B2B Addon you use modules like EDIFACTConvertermodule or Plain or X12 depending on the message you are sending.

Hi Manoj,

Thanks for your reply,

I am not able to see the BIC mappings used in the channels in the see burger work bench and I don't have edit access on those mappings, how can I capture what transformation logic built in side the mappings.

Can you please provide the screen shot your existing BIC module configuration. and also the splitter configuration in Seeburger workbench. Additionally you can see the message log too. where you can identify the BIC mapping used

I assume that by BIC you a referring to the Seeburger Business Integration Converter module? The SFTP adapter supports module configuration like any other adapter, so I'm not sure why you would need a specific explanation for this scenario.

If you don't have Seeburger anymore, you can check if any of the X2E mappings provisioned with the SAP B2B addon match your requirement. As your specific mapping sounds more like a custom format rather than standard EDI, you may need to look into the plain text module of the B2B addon that supposedly allows you to deal with those.

Please not that this suggestion is based entirely on what I have read. I have no practical experience implementing adapter level mappings with the SAP B2B addon (but a lot of experience with Seeburger).
