Order Release Rejected first time, working second time

I am releasing a work order after issuing a permit using a customized FM.

I am using FM 'ORDER_PERMIT_MAINTAIN' and 'PM_SP_ISSUE_VB' for the issue of the permit. And to release the work order after that, I am using 'BAPI_ALM_ORDER_MAINTAIN'. But when i execute the Customized FM, I am getting the error as-

C2:009:Order 5000523: Release rejected and

IWO_BAPI2: 113 : Error during processing of BAPI methods.

But, when i execute the Customized FM again, the order is successfully released (checked in IW32). Please help as to why this is happening? I want to release the work order in first go.

  • Wait, this is confusing me ...

    • So you have a Z-Function ...
    • Is it called in some Enhancement? Y/N ...
    • If it is ... Where?
    • If not ... What is the exact Enhancement you're talking about ...

I think / hope the Z-Function isn't doing a COMMIT in the code itself?

Is the Z-Function called 'IN UPDATE TASK' or as a 'SEPARATE UNIT' or anything ...?

    I think I / we need more clarification ...

  • Hello,

I have a Custom function module (Z_* ). Inside that function module I am calling another function module'ORDER_PERMIT_MAINTAIN' to issue the permit and 'PM_SP_ISSUE_VB' to update issuing of permit in IHGNS table. Later, I am calling 'BAPI_ALM_ORDER_MAINTAIN' to release the workorder. When I first execute the custom FM it,

    - permit is issued, work order is not released saying error as -

    C2:009:Order 5000523: Release rejected and

IWO_BAPI2: 113 : Error during processing of BAPI methods.

But when i execute the custom FM again -

    -permit is issued

    -workorder is released

I want to know, why it is not happening at the first go?

    Thanks in advance.

  • Z-Function isn't doing a COMMIT in the code itself? - No

Is the Z-Function called 'IN UPDATE TASK' or as a 'SEPARATE UNIT' or anything ...? - As a separate unit
