SAP Document Center as the main company repository/content system?

Hello everyone,

I hope someone can give me more information about SAP Document Center. Even though I have done one implementation of this, I have a hard time seeing how it really works and the purpose of this product.

So can you answer me how well Document Center will work as the main content management system for a company? So without putting it on top of an existing content management solution? And how much storage space is offered? (have not been able to find that out either)

As far as I see it, in the documentation for Document Center it is presented as an application put on top of what ever content management system you already have in order to make it more easily accessible from mobile etc.

I hope someone can enlighten me! :D

SAP Document Center default content storage is SAP Document Service. If you choose SAP Document Center you can create My Document, Shared Document, Corporate Repositories which are SAP Document Service based. In addition to default storage you can also configure other ECM repositories like SAP KM, MS SharePoint as corporate repositories.

Space given by SAP Document Center is according to your usage and subscription. Check for more details.
