DB13 backup is failing because of system resources

Dear support,

I have been taking backup of my database Oracle 9i ECC 5.0 system from many days , suddenly it has started giving errors as below.

There is enough space under the drive , more than required and no memory issue also , still i am getting below error

BR203I to F:\oracle\DEV\sapbackup\bdwbminb\DEV620.DATA1 ...

BR278E Command output of 'copy D:\ORACLE\DEV\SAPDATA4\DEV620_1\DEV620.DATA1 F:\oracle\DEV\sapbackup\bdwbminb\DEV620.DATA1':

Insufficient system resources exist to complete the requested service.

    you are probably still using a 32-bit windows. this error will go away with a 64-bit windows 2003.

    until then, reboot your server before starting your offline backup.

      Could you tell me what is the reason behind it , so that i can plan shutdown and restart.

    1. does F:\oracle\DEV\sapbackup\bdwbminb provide enouth freespace to hold the backup?

    2. are you using compressed directories for the backup destination? if yes this is the problem.
