Business Area - Consolidating the companies.

Can some one explain me how the business area provides the reporting across the companies. I know the 3 determination rule of Business Area in SD. But want to know how it provides the for more than one company, i mean all the settings in FI area for BA. Is BA assigned to company code ?

hi sunil,

Since BA is maintained at client it can be used by all the comp codes in the same client.

If u want BA fin.statements goto OBY6 & select comp code & tick the correponding check box.This means mandatory of BA at comp code level
